When President Obama visited India for a 3 day trip 2 weeks ago, Harsimrat Kaur Badal got the opportunityto meet him. Harsimrat Kaur Badal only had a few moments to speak with the President but she made it worthwhile as she invited him to visit Sri Harmandir Sahib on his next visit.
Harsimrat Badal asked Barack And Michelle Obama about their experience and what they’ll take back with them. President Obama pulled out a small miniature figure of Hindu god Ganesh from his pocket and said He always keeps it with him.
Harsimrat Badal responded by saying they’ll have a great experience in Punjab and invited the entire family to Sri Harmandir Sahib Ji.
President Obama previously denied to visit Sri Harmandir Sahib due to the requirement of covering his head. Even in his most recent trip, he cancelled a visit to the Taj Mahal due to security concerns.
